No Signs, Signs, Everywhere A SIgn For This School Board Candidate

Signs, signs everywhere a sign
Blocking out the scenery breaking my mind,

-Les Emerson, recorded by the Five Man Electric Band, 1970

You couldn't tell it by the plethora of signs that dot the Neosho landscape in these pre-election days but I am a candidate for a seat on the Neosho R-5 School Board in the upcoming April election. None of the signs are mind - possessed of a frugal nature, I couldn't see the point in shelling out money for brightly colored signs with my name.

If I am elected, I want to be elected because voters feel that I can and will do an outstanding job representing them on the school board, not because my sign was the flashiest or most memorable.

Campaign interviews will appear in The Neosho Daily News on this coming Sunday, March 25, and in an election tab upcoming in The Joplin Globe. Most of my views are expressed in those interviews; additionally, I will return to my radio roots and appear as a guest on The McCormack Files, the local radio program hosted on KQYS (formerly KBTN AM Radio) by John McCormack next Wednesday, March 29.

Tune in and listen. Read the papers or ask me questions but don't expect me, product of the 1960's to block up the scenery with signs!!!!
