After sitting down with my Bic ink pen in hand to write my first novel on lined notebook paper back in Mrs. Berryman's fifth grade classroom at Webster School in my hometown of St. Joseph, Missouri, I have done a lot of writing and living.
That first effort - still stashed away in a desk at my mother's home - was rank beginner's work but then, to be fair, I was only nine years old.
Over the intervening decades I have written and published short stories in print, online, and in nine different anthologies. This week, however, I reached a new milestone with the publication of my first novel, Wolfe's Lady from Evernight Publishing. During the year that is about to end, I sold three novels but this is the first to find publication. Two more novels are already in process to debut in July 2011 and in November 2011. I have others submitted so there is the possibility that I may make more sales.
I invite anyone who has ever enjoyed my written work, known me, loved or hated me, to read
Wolfe's Lady. It is a paranormal romance but it isn't frightening at all. Instead, it demonstrates the power of love to accept and to love in the face of difference or adversity, a powerful message.
